Tijekom kuhanja može se dodati malo maslinova ulja ili vina.
Dobar su prilog janjetini, mogu se pržiti uvaljane u brašno u dubokom ulju, pirjati u vinu pa poslužiti s tjesteninom ili peći cijele u vatrostalnoj posudi prelivene smjesom kapara, slanih inćuna, češnjaka, peršina vode i maslinova ulja…
